This weekend

This weekend I've been enjoying that special form bliss associated with the visiting of relatives.

These are the relatives you've not seen in two or three years - and that's not just because you were out of the country.

No...thoughts of hunting them through the woods to the crack of rifle fire....of slowly dangling them over the abyss of doom and slowly sawing through the rope with a nail file while describing the horrors awaiting them at the bottom.

Yes, those relatives.

The kind of relatives which make you think that spending 8 hours on a fund raising duty in the full heat of summer isn't such a bad idea, ten miles away from them.

And maybe you should spend a few more hours there, just incase someone's feeling generous...

Tsh, ffh, sst!

Damn it, isabelle! Martin was polite enough not to name names, but now you've blown it. Martin's mom is going to see that and throw Martin out on his ear in horror of that revealed secret! In order to support himself, Martin will have to get a job scrubbing the queen mum's toenails! Is that what you want, Isabelle? YOUR POOR FRIEND SCRUBBING THE QUEEN MUMS TOENAILS?!

you sicken me...

... well he has a job and honestly if his mom kicks him out.. no wait his mom IS IN TORONTO RIGHT NOW! and if she does when she gets back im sure Richard would take pity and let him stay in the spare room. On top of that I think his mom is smart enough, in fact I know she's smart enough to figure out the relatives visiting were either sister or grandmother.

anyways glad to give you the pleasure of sickning you.. and if martin ends up scrubbing the queen's toenails well he will be paid more than you and I combined and then can afford to come visit me more often, at which point he can even move in with me. So really everything works out.

I've already told him that he can move into the spare room - but he'll have to start paying rent.

Hey Matt - didn't anyone tell you the Queen Mum is dead - cleaning her toenails would be a rotten job to do. Don't tempt me. Just being nice to other relatives might be a good punishment.

As for staying with Richard - I don't it would last long. Richard couldn't stand the mess for one thing. As for paying rent, I'll let you know.

Hi Martin

Just to let you know I couldn't get through any other way. By the time I am home you are sound asleep so can't phone. Let everyone know we are having a nice time with the family and are all well. Nan goes to stay with other relatives from tonight, although we will see her some days. What's that.......... hmm I can hear what you are thinking.

Hope the duties went really well. Love to everyone one. Mmm

Hi Isabelle - I don't think you can really mean that. Unless you think you can get him to tidy up better than I can! Hope you are well - sending hugs (I doubt Martin would think to do so).

bye for now. Maureen

Hi Maureen,

You should read the latest blog .. he is cleaning !! lol.
And hes a good man, has to come from great and smart parents.

I hear you guys arent very far from here .. about 5 and a half hours. Too bad you arent making it to Ottawa (well according to Martin you arent), could have given you a tour. Its the Tulip Festival right now its very nice, thousands of them from Holland. If you've got no plans im off Tuesday-Wednesday.

As for Martin, he hasnt forgotten about me. I mean I don't get REAL hugs now but maybe when he comes back to visit or when I get to keep him :)
